Review:

The Insiders series of books are packed with great visual presentations of specific topics. This book is about the history of Knights and Castles, and covers the many cultural variations of these two topics..

While there are very few photos in this book there are ample computer generated images that have a distinct life like appearance to them. I was particularly impressed with the cutaways of castles and the intricate details of the various areas within these structures. The history of knighthood and how this class of person came to being is quite interesting, as is the society and structure common around this era of time.

The diagrams and cutaways of the various aspects of the Castle makes this book very educational and helpful in understanding more about this great creature.

Great design and very informative.
