POETRY: Forgive me by Marius Baciu

Forgive me if I’m not allowed to love you

But still I dare to endeavor

In the forbidden realm where likely

With you together I’ll be never.

Forgive me if my heart’s still beating

Only for you, in every moment

It’s broken but the contemplation

Of what could be will make it potent.

Forgive me if I break the boundaries

Of what I’m told I’m not allowed

All rules I’ll stomp if I can have you

I’ll be irreverent and unbowed.

Forgive me if I sigh in silence

Each time I see your precious face

And I get lost in your presence

Don’t leave me in this dreamy place.

Forgive me if I step on promise

To not pursue a great romance

And every inch of you I would kiss

If I were given just one chance.

Forgive me if I write about it

So much it hurts and makes me blue

But if you give me those four letters

I’ll drop the world and be with you

Forgive me if I’m not allowed to love you

But still I dare to endeavor

In the forbidden realm where likely

With you together I’ll be never.
