Review

For an avid lover of comics and graphic novels of all kinds, I was keen to get my hands on this book to see how the masters create their work. While some of the artists I’d never heard of before and some of the art work was not the greatest, the overall scope of this book was brilliant.

The book is set out with a chapter for each of the 47 comic artists to showcase their work and explain how they work in creating their finished product. Each artist works to their own formula, and it was interesting to see how this varied depending on who was discussing the chapter.

It was extremely interesting to see the process used by artists from the inception of the idea to the story board to the finished product.

This is a definite must have for anyone interested in pursuing a career as a comic artist.
