Clara′s Purpose leads her family to Wyoming, where, amidst terrifying scenes of a bush inferno, she finds the boy of her visions, Christian. He is everything she could wish for - so why does she also have feelings for her enigmatic classmate Tucker?

Clara discovers that her Purpose is only a small part of a titanic struggle between angels and their destructive counterparts, the Black Wings. And when the fire of her visions erupts and both Christian and Tucker are in danger, who will she choose to save?

′Utterly captivating. One of the most addictive books I′ve read in a while. UNEARTHLY had me lying awake at night, wondering what would happen next.′

Review:

UNEARTHLY follows a young girl, Clara, who recently discovered she is a quarter-angel. When she begins having visions of a forest fire and a gorgeous guy, the family packs up and moves to Wyoming so she can fulfil her angelic destiny. When she arrives, she quickly meets Christian, the guy of her dreams (literally), along with Tucker, a cute but rude Cowboy determined to make her life miserable.

Clara tries to find a way to get closer to Christian, but her dyed-orange hair and status as the newcomer doesn't exactly propel her into the in-crowd that Christian inhabits. While she flounders, she befriends Tucker's much nicer twin sister Wendy and eccentric Angela, who is also an angel and guesses Clara's secret. Together, the two of them learn about their strange new world and try to figure out the meaning of Clara's visions before the day of her purpose arrives. Too bad she is distracted by Tucker, who turns out to be a sweetheart and not quite as rough around the edges as she first thought.

This is probably the most interesting angel concept I have read. There was a little bit of good angel vs. fallen angel but for a change it didn't have anything to do with the love interests. The vision and purpose element is what made this so different. Sometimes with angel concepts the history can be complex and hard to understand but this was effortless to follow.
