Review:

Natural Highs by Patrick Holford is a handy self help book for those who have any sort of addiction to help themself relax. I've read books that handled on serotonin and dopamine before, but this book is so extensive and varied. It explains very well what kind of effect certain substances have on your body and mind and also why we self medicate with alcohol, chocolate, coffee, junk food or any other generally unhealthy kind of addiction. It also explains why in the long run those are no good for you.

More importantly, it hands you alternatives that are healthy and no addictive.

I’ve picked up a few tips from this book and already begun using them.
