ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Dr Daniel G Amen is a clinical neuroscientist, psychiatrist, Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and CEO of Amen Clinics, Inc in the US.

Review:

Change Your Brain, Change Your Body is a self-help book for those who want to improve their physical condition using techniques other than your normal dietery methods. There are some references to the author’s website where you can check what kind of eater you are. After establishing this, the reader can then work out what kind of diet, supplements and exercise are best suited to their kind of eating pattern.

Amen has tested his theories on brain scans that he has done on patients at his California clinic over the years. With so many people struggling with weight and keeping on track with any diets and exercise routines, this book covers some topics people are already aware of and new information based on the author’s research.

I think with any diet, it is the match between the person and the technique as what works for one person may not work for another. This approach may work for some people who have not had success with other methods and plans they have already tried. You will only know if you try it yourself. I’m giving it a go to see what results I’ll get.
