Review:

Magic Strikes is the third novel in the Kate Daniel Series by author Ilona Andrews. The series is set in the Urban Fantasy genre with a hint of romance, a spatter of paranormal and a bucket full of magic. The story revolves around the main character and heroine, Kate Daniels and her constant fight against evil magical creatures. Her conflicted love interested is Curran and the usual tension of, will they get together, does he really love her, is there and a constant theme throughout this book and the series.

Magic strikes also outline the mystery of Kate’s history and why her blood must be burned. We also get to see what the original motivation and agenda for her actions stem from and why she has chosen the path she is on. While this is revealed in this book, there are many sub-plots that continue, making the first books a definite pre-requisite before reading Kate’s continuing journey in Magic Strikes.
